Amenemhat III is listed in the king list under ‘12th Dynasty’ and so belongs to this period: Middle Kingdom (c. 2040–1780 BC). Reign: 1818/17–1773/72 (1853–1806/05) BC. What is known about Amenemhat III
The most important achievement of his reign was the development of the Faiyum. A co-regency with his father Senusret III is not certain. He built two pyramids, the first at Dahshur and the second at Hawara.
